Polish reflections on Berlin trip

In Berlin I experienced to the fullest the most important Jewish holidays of my life. As a Sh’liach Zibbur I’ve gained priceless experiences. I participated in prayers in 5 different synagogues – orthodox, reform and conservative – on holidays as well as on regular week-days. I believe that this practice will bear fruit for many years of my work, and so will the all-day long prayers on Yom Kippur. My visit to the Geiger School on Erev Yom Kippur concerning my rabbinical studies might gain a symbolical meaning. I am extremely grateful for making this trip possible. Piotr Kondrat

For me this trip was really special….Before I’ve never had a possibility to participate in services in so many different synagogues. Seeing and hearing so many different traditions of worship conduction was fascinating, especially in relation to my future conduction of services and further cantorial studies. This trip has greatly enriched my knowledge about Judaism, through contact with different traditions in synagogues as well as through lectures. I am very grateful for the possibility to experience such beautiful High Holy Days, they will stay in my memory forever.
